I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Marla BSN, RN and I am a Registered Nurse and have been one for 20 years (yep, Im THAT old!!).
I am very excited to be able to offer aesthetic injections at Lake Travis Aesthetics, under my Medical Director, Dr Polumbo, MD.
I have worked my entire nursing career in the Operating Room. Starting out, I worked in a Trauma OR and LOVED the fast pace and excitement that job brought to me. I will forever be grateful for learning in such a high stress environment. It's definitely a sink or swim scenario. Luckily for me (and my patients), I was able to thrive in that type of setting.
After a few years of late night call and overnight shifts, I was fortunate enough to acquire a job as an OR Nurse in one of Southern California's busiest Plastic Surgery Centers. Working with 5 amazingly talented surgeons was a dream. For over 15 years, I was able to learn from them and really understand the artistry of Aesthetics. After moving to Texas and being a full time mama to three amazing (and very busy!) kids, I have decided it's time to get back to what really makes me happy (besides the family, because they are pretty awesome, too). That is being with patients, talking health and beauty and making people feel their absolute best. I hope you'll come have a chat with me.
